1. General Terms
By making a reservation, staying at, or accessing the facilities of The Kensington Hideaway, you agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all guests and visitors of the hotel.
The Kensington Hideaway reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time.
2. Reservations & Payments
2.1 Booking Confirmation
All reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed once payment details have been successfully provided.
2.2 Payment Policy
A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee all reservations.
Payment terms may vary based on the selected rate or package. Any specific conditions will be stated at the time of booking.
2.3 Third-Party Bookings
Reservations made through third-party platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia) are bound by the terms provided at the time of booking. Any amendments or cancellations must be made through the same platform.
3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Cancellation terms depend on the selected rate:
- Flexible Rate:
Guests may cancel or modify their booking free of charge up to the deadline specified in their confirmation (typically 24–48 hours before arrival).
Cancellations received after this period or no-shows will incur a charge equivalent to one night’s stay.
- Non-Refundable Rates:
Full payment may be taken at the time of booking. These bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Guests are responsible for checking the cancellation terms on their confirmation email.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
4.1 Check-In
Check-in time is from 3:00pm.
Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
4.2 Check-Out
Check-out time is 11:00am.
Late check-out may be available on request at an additional cost.
Valid identification may be requested at check-in.
5. Guest Behaviour & Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, other guests, and the property.
The Kensington Hideaway reserves the right to refuse service, remove guests, or cancel reservations without refund in cases of:
- Abusive or disruptive behaviour
- Damage to property
- Illegal activities
- Breach of hotel policies
6. Smoking Policy
The Kensington Hideaway is a 100% smoke-free property.
Smoking inside rooms or public areas is strictly prohibited.
A £250 deep-cleaning fee will apply if evidence of smoking is found.
7. Pet Policy
Pets are not permitted anywhere within the hotel, except for registered assistance animals.
Guests must notify the hotel in advance if travelling with an assistance animal.
8. Damage, Loss & Security
Guests are financially responsible for:
- Any damage to rooms, furnishings, or equipment
- Missing items
- Excessive cleaning requirements
The hotel is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings unless secured in the room safe.
9. Accessibility
The Kensington Hideaway offers accessible rooms and facilities.
If you require specific accommodations, please notify the hotel prior to arrival so arrangements can be made.
10. Liability
The Kensington Hideaway accepts no liability for:
- Personal injury or illness
- Loss of valuables not stored securely
- Events outside the hotel’s control (e.g., transport delays, strikes, extreme weather)
Guests use hotel facilities at their own risk.
11. Restaurant & Bar Policies
- Dining reservations are subject to availability.
- The hotel reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to guests who appear intoxicated.
- Outside food or beverages are not permitted unless approved by management.
12. Website Use
All content, imagery, and branding on this website are the property of The Kensington Hideaway and may not be reproduced without permission.
Rates, packages, and availability displayed on the website are subject to change.
13. Privacy Policy
Use of the hotel website and services is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, which explains how guest data is collected and processed.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
